Background

This turtle was named Shaza by students from the Alyangula Area School and the Anindilyakwa Land Council.

This turtle measured 80.3cm curved carapace length, 69.5cm curved carapace width and weighed 56.5kg. It laid 118 eggs on the slope in bare sand on the 26th of August 2010.
