Wilna the turtle

Background

Wilna, a female hawksbill turtle named after Wilna Figaro, was tagged on one of the prime nesting beaches on the South of Mahé, Seychelles, on December 16th 2009. The tag was a Wildlife Computers MK10 AF satellite tag funded under a programme organised and implemented by the Marine Conservation Society Seychelles (MCSS) in association with the Ministry of Environment and the Wildlife Clubs of Seychelles, Banyan tree Resort and Xanadu Private Resort and funded by the MCSS 2009 Whale Shark Encounter Trips.

Since being tagged Wilna has been tracked on-line through the facilities of www.seaturtle.
